REFUGEE TRAVEL DOCUMENT

A refugee travel documents is for people that have refugee or asylum status and want to return to the US. It is also issued to lawful permanent residents who obtained their Green Cards based on their refugee or asylee status. Those that require a refugee travel document must carry it with them when traveling outside of the US or else they may not be able to re-enter the country again and be placed in removal proceedings by an immigration judge.
